You'd think the sun would help...So last week was pretty crazy for my son. I can't remember what happened Friday night, but Saturday morning he had to be at the high school at 7:30am for the SAT. Saturday night, he had his prom. He got home Sunday around 10am (pretty close to no sleep), took a tiny break, and then headed out for brunch with Grandma, to celebrate Mother's Day a week early (she hates dealing with the crush on the actual day). It was with my sister, so it was far from home, and he spent much of the day on the road.
Monday morning, he had an AP test (Sunday evening was spent in last-minute preparation), and then after school he worked until 10pm. (Got home at 10:30 or so.) Tuesday, he had two exams.

Monday morning, he had an AP test (Sunday evening was spent in last-minute preparation), and then after school he worked until 10pm. (Got home at 10:30 or so.) Tuesday, he had two exams.
He got home from school on Tuesday around 3:30, and begged off from a family get-together; he just wanted to go to sleep. Seemed reasonable. He'd been running non-stop for at least 4 days.
At 6:30, I called up the stairs.
"Tim!"
"uhhnnnhh"
"Tim, are you interested in going to see The Avengers?"
"unnhh... when?"
"Now."
"NOW?"
"Yeah, now."
"No!"
Shrugging, I grabbed my coat and headed to pick up a friend.
Came home around 10:15, my wife said "do you know why Tim's upset?" I had no idea, but I told her I'd go talk to him.
Turns out, he'd turned me down for the Avengers because when I woke him, and he looked at the clock, he thought he'd slept for 14 hours. After I left, he got showered, dressed, and drove to school.
He arrived at 7:15pm... and couldn't figure out why nobody was there.
I felt so bad, I filled his tank up with gas. Least I could do.
